Our team is made up of a bunch of travel enthusiasts. We all share a passion for the concept and the drive to succeed

Bob Haugh

CEO & Co-Founder

Prior to co-founding, Bob created two other travel businesses. Travel Department was founded in 1996 and in 2009. These continue to be market leaders in their field. Travel has been very much a part of Bob’s life for the past 20 years and, when not at his desk, he is prone to hopping on his motorcycle and flying planes, helicopters and hot air balloons.

Favourite Destination: Antibes, France – Wonderful food, scenery and a great base to explore France, Corsica and Italy from.

He developed a love of all things travel at an early age helping out in his father's hotel business and has developed marketing campaigns for clients such as Priceline, Virgin Holidays, Thistle Hotels, eBookers and Travelodge.

Favourite Destination: Cape Town, South Africa – I spent a year there at business school and really enjoyed the fantastic weather, alfresco lifestyle and delicious food.

Favourite Destination: The top of any mountain with a pair of skis on my feet!

Richard Sears

Business Development Executive

Richard’s two passions are travel and education. After graduating from the University of Cambridge, he worked as a teacher just outside London and enjoyed taking advantage of long school holidays to explore different parts of the world. During this time he experienced first-hand the challenges of planning and booking group travel, organising sports and educational trips to Europe, Africa and Asia. Before moving to Dublin and joining the team, Richard also taught in Nepal and Argentina, gained a Masters in International Development, and broke the world record for the longest journey in a tuk tuk, driving it round the world to promote and advance education.

Favourite Destination: Nepal - Fascinating culture, friendly people, breath-taking scenery and astonishing biodiversity (from sea level to the highest point on the planet in less than the distance from Dublin to Belfast!)

Charlotte Fenning

Account Executive, Partnerships

Charlotte joined the team after graduating from UCD Smurfit School of Business and works as an Account Executive looking after Partnerships, Publicity and Events. Travel has been a part of Charlotte’s life since she was young due to spending most of her childhood living in countries like Russia, South Africa and Egypt. This has made her a keen traveller and also recently motivated her to bring a group of 50 Irish college students to the USA for the MBA Rugby World Cup, which was eventful to say the least!

Favourite Destination: San Diego, California – I love going there for its amazing hot weather, relaxed environment, friendly people and great surfing.

Killian McCabe

Account Executive, Partnerships

Killian joined straight after completing his Master’s degree at UCD Smurfit School of Business. As well as working with signing up partners, he also helps out with CRM management, and market research and analysis. Killian is a big fan of sport, and plays for his local GAA club as well as trying to visit as many countries as possible!

Favourite Destination: Valencia, Spain (during Las Fallas) – The city shuts down for ten days and the streets are full of people partying – a real fiesta atmosphere, amazing firework displays which get better every night and the burning of the fallas (huge floats) for the finale. Lots of great spots to eat and drink.

Kathi Parker

Account Executive, Content Development

Kathi joined after completing her graduate studies in Multimedia in DCU. Before moving to Dublin, Kathi worked in content production for the trendence Institute in Berlin and wrote travel guide content. She now works as an Account Executive looking after content development and production for the website and our live chat support. Kathi is the only German on the team and when she’s not in the office, she enjoys a good book or movie and of course planning the next trip.

Favourite Destination: Rome, Italy – It might be a bit of a cliché, but Rome left a lasting impression on me. The history, the buildings, cafes and restaurants everywhere – I would go back any time.

Chief Creative Canine

Pippa is Chief Creative Canine at, her main tasks include looking after the team’s well-being, posing for pictures and showcasing new tricks. Before joining the team, Pippa worked as a family canine and still holds that position part-time when she is not in the office. Some of her hobbies include organising pet passports, chasing sticks, being scratched behind the ear and occupying Bob’s seat.

Favourite Destination: Any forest, Ireland – the variety of smells and sticks to fetch – so many things to discover! It’s overwhelming every time.
